Volunteer Oportunities:
Monday through Thursday 12:30-4:00pm: We need people to make and serve sandwhiches and coffee; provide hospitality and welcome; greet people at the door; teach basic computer and internet skills;offer literacy building activities; lead guitar lessons/classes; offer other creative and practical skill-building activities.
Gifts of Food
Gifts of food are always welcome on a day to day basis, but also on special occasions (Christmas,Thanksgiving, Valentines day). Canned meat and fish, peanut butter, sugar, cookies, margarine, cheese, salad dressing, crackers, and fruit juices are all used daily to provide a light lunch.
Gifts of money
Gifts of money allow the Oak Table community to participate in activities and outings, such as the annual art show for low income artists. These gifts also support the training and support of volunteers in areas such as Emergancy First Aid, meditation, conflict resolution, non-violent crisis intervention and food handling.
Please send your donation directly to Oak Table Community Ministry. Your donation is eligible for a charitable tax reciept.
Skills and Talent
Speakers are needed to give lectures on what the guests are interested in. Gifts of self care (hair cutting, foot care, dental care, or healthcare) can add to the well-being of the community.
