She is Adjunct Professor in the Faculty in the Faculty of Theology at the University of Winnipeg and teaches one course a year in the areas of biblical interpretation; feminist, postcolonial and liberation theologies; compassionate listening; social activism and conflict resolution. She has written academic and popular books, chapters and articles.

She and her partner, Nancy, co-host a monthly Amnesty International letter writing at their home.
Loraine is available by appointment most Sunday afternoons, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Donald Ross (Minister Emeritus)
Donald was born in the heart of the Great Depression of the 1930’s, and was a child during the Second World War – both of which have had a profound effect on the values and outlook (and theology) of people of his generation. The bulk of Donald’s growing up life and education, including theological training, was in Winnipeg. After ordination in 1960, Donald was settled in what is now Thunder Bay, then Pinawa, Hamilton, Winnipeg (Crestview), and did interim work in Portage la Prairie and Augustine, from which he retired in 1996. Donald has four children, and between them, his partner Len and Donald have thirteen grandchildren.
Over the years Donald has done a bunch of presbytery and conference jobs, mostly in the areas of liturgy, human sexuality, and ministry and personnel concerns. But his main focus has always been congregational ministry, which has given him great satisfaction and sense of validity.
Stuart McVey (organist)
Our organist/choir director has been an integral part of church life here at Augustine since 1994. He works closely with our minister, and the Worship Team to prepare the music for Sunday services. The choir is a testament to his myriad skills and deep commitment to Augustine. His love for the organ has resulted in an amazing effort to restore it to its original glory.
