In 2000, The United Church of Canada began work on a new statement of faith. It was to be a statement of faith for our time, honouring the many different points of view in our church, and acknowledging that our tradition is always changing and growing.
Augustine took part in this, contributing reflection and comments from our members. In 2006 the new faith statement was approved by The United Church of Canada.
Written in poetic language, A Song of Faith is not intended to express our beliefs for all time, but to offer a picture of what we believe in this time.
