September 12 we will hold Sunday School registration and kickoff for the year.
Choir
Choir rehearsals begin Thursday, September 9 at 7:30 pm. Please speak with Stuart McVey if you are interested in joining the choir for this year.
Habitat for Humanity
We have received a thank you card for providing workers fruit and snacks for one day in July. Thanks to the Social Justice Team for organizing this.
Office Administrator & Volunteer Request
Due to unforeseen circumstances. Anna Worobetz, our Office Administrator, resigned recently. Staff and congregants appreciated her many skills, work ethic, and the contribution she made to the church, specifically the smooth running of the office. The Ministry and Personnel Committee is in the process of recruiting her replacement. In the meantime, we are in need of volunteers to help out with a few necessary tasks: to act as receptionist, prepare the bulletin, and be present in the office for a few hours Monday to Thursday. If you can help, please contact Loraine.
New Members Group
We will be starting a group for anyone wishing to becoming a member of Augustine. We will meet with Loraine over the course of 8 sessions, usually once a week on Mon or Wed evenings. We will be exploring different types of prayer and looking at the origins of the Bible, the history of the United Church and of Augustine, faith statements from the early church through until today, our own beliefs and spiritual gifts. If you are interested, please contact Loraine.
