Village Market
Once again Augustine United Church will be participating in the Village Market located across the street at The Gas Station Theatre. The market runs every Thursday from 4-8 PM beginning July 1st and ending Mid September. We are seeking volunteers who would be willing to work either 4 hour or 2 hour shifts for this event. Groups within the church may also want to consider taking on a day to support a particular activity, such as a bake sale, letter writing event or an art show. Please contact Rick or Kim if you would like to volunteer.
Canada Day
Augustine will have a table set up for Canada Day, located on the corner of River and Osborne. We will need volunteers between 6:30pm – 8:30pm the evening of June 30th and, from 10:00am – 4:00pm July 1st. We are also hoping to have a bake sale during this event, if you are able to provide baking please sign up the sheet at the back of the church. See Kim if you would like to volunteer.
Oak Table Community Ministry Annual Spring BBQ
For all those who brought in food and supplies for the BBQ on June 17th a heart felt thank you goes out to you! It was a lot of fun and a great success.
Augustine would like to thank the Winnipeg Foundation, the Community Places Program of Manitoba and the Sir Thomas Cropo Foundation Inc. for their support toward the replacement of the stained glass windows at the front of our building.
