Interfaith Prayers for Peace in Our Homes
Everyone is welcome to attend the following interfaith prayer gathering for peace in our homes:
Augustine United Church, 444 River, Sunday, April 25 @ 3:00 pm
Young Adults Group
Gathering at Charissa’s Place on Sunday, April 25th at 6:30 pm. There will be communion and a party. All young adults in their 20s, 30s and beyond are welcome to attend. Please call Alison at 284-2250 or Charissa at 783-0919 if you have questions.
Organic Lunch
The Social Justice Team will host an organic lunch for Earth Day, Sunday, April 18th following worship.
House Concert
Loraine and Alison are happy to invite you to a house concert of flute with piano accompaniment on Saturday, April 24th at 7:30pm. The concert will be held at 27 Dundurn Place and feature works by Bach, Faure, Corigliano and Amirov. A freewill offering will be collected for Augustine United Church. Attendance is limited to 20 people per evening. Please speak to Loraine or Alison if you would like to attend.
Augustine Work Day
On Saturday, April 24th at 10:00, we are having a work day to finish our clean-up of the South Basement Studios in preparation for a new tenant. If you can help with the work or assist by providing lunch, please speak with Stuart. Thank you.
Farewell with Alison
Sunday, April 25th will be Alison Etter’s last service. Come and celebrate her ministry with us.
Annual Meeting
The Augustine United Church Annual Meeting has been rescheduled to Sunday May 2, following worship.
WIDER CHURCH & COMMUNITY
Project Peacemakers
Annual Eco-Friendly fundraising dinner on Wednesday, April 21st at 6:30 pm at the Meadowood United Church, 1111 Dakota Street. There will be a vegetarian buffet, entertainment and a silent auction. Guest speaker is Laura Rance, editor of the Manitoba Co-operator. Tickets are $10 and can be obtained from Bev Ridd or reserved by calling the office at 775-8178. Tickets are not sold at the door.
Osborne Village Community Clean-Up!
Saturday April 24th, 9:00 am – Noon
